Chippewa District Roundtable

October Roundtable will be all about
Webelos to Scout Transition
Thursday October 14th, 6:30, Riverbends Park


Please sign up your Troop and Packs so we know who and how many are
attending. There will be a raffle for Webelos, Troops and Leaders that
attend.

We need to know who is coming so please RSVP with the following sign up genius link and/or

• Troops – Be prepared to showcase your troop and encourage Webelos to visit
and/or join your Troop. Come with a display, handouts, troop cards, candy,
table, smiles … (Check out he BSA Brand Center)
• Webelos – Leaders and parents bring your Webelos and Arrow of Light scouts
to meet the Troops in Chippewa District. You may find a perfect match or plan
to visit a couple before making a choice.
All Leaders – There will be breakout sessions
– Packs – How is a Troop different from a Pack? Can I ask Troops to conduct an
adventure? Can I camp with a Troop? What are Den Chiefs? Different types of Crossover
ceremonies. How can the district help me?
– Troops – What is a Den Chief? Can Webelos join us at a campout? How to conduct an
Adventure day. Work with Packs to offer a meaningful crossover ceremony. Do I need a
new member coordinator? How can the district help me?

This outstanding leadership training course is open to anyone registered with the BSA and over the age of 18. It is considered by many to be the highlight of their
Scouting career. All Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Venturing and Varsity Scout Leaders, as well as
district and council volunteers and professionals, are urged to attend. Along with perfect
weather and no mosquitoes, we promise a unique learning opportunity, high
performance leadership training, and a truly great Wood Badge Experience.

Weekend 1: April 30 to May 2, 2021  (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Weekend 2 : May 15 & 16, 2021  (Saturday, Sunday)
Both weekends begin at 7:30 a.m. and end SUNDAY at 5:00 p.m.

All sessions must be attended.

Cost: $250.00 if you register by November 8

Chippewa District Photo Contest Winner

The winner of the April School Closure Photo Contest Winner is Jamisen from P158. Congratulations Jamisen! Jamisen has won a FREE PASS to the Fall Camporee at Wolcott Mill Metropark, September 26.

Please note that the deadline to submit your favorite outdoor photo for the next photo contest is noon May 11. Please send your favorite photo to Dave Putt at dputt5@yahoo.com and include your name, scout unit and a brief description of what your photo is about.

The winning photo for May will be published in chippyblog and announced at the May 14th Roundtable.
