Due to your generosity, we have achieved our Chippewa District Family Friends of Scouting (FOS) campaign goal for this year. Your contributions will further the adventure for all of our scouts and adult leaders in Chippewa District.
We deeply appreciate your invitation for allowing a member of our team to visit one of your unit meetings to engage our families in Chippewa District about what scouting provides for our youth.
We look forward to another invite in the upcoming year.
Hello pack leaders,
Now is the time to begin planning your perfect fall recruitment night. A JSN, or Join Scouting Night should be a stand alone 30 minute meeting held at the school that’s being recruited from. A district volunteer will be on hand to assist and handle paperwork while the Pack should plan on having at least their Cubmaster / Committee Chair or an Assistant Cubmaster in attendance, and even their Den Leaders if possible.
Plan on having a Leader Contact sheet and calendar available as well. The JSN is a signup night, held separately so the focus can be on the new families and answering their questions before their first official Pack Meeting. Much, much more info, tips, and resources will be shared at the upcoming Super Saturday training event, taking place Saturday August 4th in Southfield. Register here: https://scoutingevent.com/272-2018GLSuperSaturday
There are two identical Fall Recruitment sessions held back to back. There will also be identical popcorn sessions held back to back, so if you’re already attending one of those make sure you go to the Membership breakout also.
Please register to let us know what date you’re targeting for your JSN, as we’ll need to make sure flyers are printed and distributed ahead of time, in conjunction with lunchroom or classroom Scout Talks (if allowed). If you know no one from your Pack can make it to Super Saturday please email Todd Richert and Keegan Springfield with the details of your preferred JSN date/time/locations.
